TiE Delhi-NCR wraps 15th India Innovation Day in Gurugram with 1,200+ attendees

TiE Delhi-NCR concluded India Innovation Day (iDay) 2026 in Gurugram, drawing more than 1,200 founders, investors, corporate leaders, policymakers, and technologists for a day of discussions on India’s evolving innovation economy.

The 15th edition of the event, themed “Audacity of Now,” centered on India’s shift from an internet-first to an innovation-first economy. Formerly known as India Internet Day, iDay 2026 covered sectors including AI, DeepTech, direct-to-consumer, biotech, space, quantum computing, and Bharat-focused innovation. Sessions addressed topics such as indigenous AI infrastructure, foundation and language models, AI-native companies, sovereign capabilities, public-private collaboration, and healthcare innovation.

A returning segment, TiE The Knot, held its 14th edition as a live pitching platform where startups presented to investors. Across previous editions, the format has seen 69 startups pitch, with 31 receiving funding commitments totaling over Rs 110 crore. This season’s focus was on startups seeking to raise between Rs 3 crore and Rs 8 crore.

The event also hosted Future Frames, an AI film festival examining storytelling formats made possible by AI tools, with filmmakers, students, and technologists among the participants.

India Innovation Day has established itself as a recurring platform for conversations around entrepreneurship, emerging technology, and innovation policy in India. The 2026 edition’s broad participation across the startup, investment, and policy ecosystem suggests continued momentum for the event as a gathering point for India’s technology and business communities.
