SportVot Raises Rs 32.7 Crore Led by IAN Alpha Fund to Expand AI-Powered Sports Streaming

Mumbai-based sports-tech startup SportVot has raised Rs 32.7 crore in a funding round led by IAN Alpha Fund, with participation from Anicut Capital, Let’s Venture, Capital A, Succeed Innovation, Garima Vohra, and Gaurav Chanana, among others. The round was announced in April 2026.

SportVot plans to use the proceeds to expand internationally and invest further in its AI-led production and distribution capabilities, according to a company press release.

Founded in 2019 by Sidhhant Agarwal, Shubhangi Gupta, and Yash Bhagwatkar, SportVot offers a suite of online services for streaming sports events and discovering grassroots sports talent in India. The platform uses cloud technology to deliver video production and streaming services to tournament organisers and sports bodies, and also generates revenue through pay-per-view, subscriptions, and brand partnerships.

The company claims to have streamed over 500,000 matches across more than 30 countries, reaching an audience of over 100 million viewers. It reports growing traction across North America, Europe, the Middle East, and Australia.

This latest raise follows a Rs 9.4 crore pre-Series A round led by Omidyar Network India in February 2024.

SportVot points to a significant market gap as the context for its growth: the company states that nearly 99% of sports played globally go unstreamed due to high production costs and limited access to technology. Its platform aims to make professional-grade sports broadcasting accessible to leagues and organisers of all sizes, including local sports associations.

Other players operating in the sports-tech streaming space in India include Ahmedabad-based CricHeroes and Mumbai-based FanCode.
