The government of Karnataka is set to establish an Agricultural Innovation Centre of Excellence in Kalaburagi, as reported by Tech-Economic Times. The initiative, undertaken by the state’s IT/BT department in collaboration with the Karnataka Innovation and Technology Society (KITS) and the Krishi Kalpa Foundation, aims to create a platform for farmers, startups, researchers, and young innovators to work together on advanced agritech solutions.
State IT/BT minister Priyank Kharge stated that the center will not only facilitate collaboration but also enhance livelihoods and foster sustainable economic development across the region. By bringing together stakeholders from various sectors, including agriculture and technology, the center will drive innovation and promote the adoption of cutting-edge technologies in agriculture.
