Google and South Korea announced plans in 2026 to build a new artificial intelligence campus in Seoul, according to the country’s presidential office.
The campus is intended to foster cooperation between Google and local engineers and startups. As part of the initiative, the project will include training programs and internship opportunities for South Korean participants.
Google also expressed interest in deepening partnerships with major Korean companies, suggesting the collaboration could extend beyond the campus itself.
The development marks a notable step in South Korea’s efforts to advance AI, with the country’s government playing a direct role in facilitating the agreement with one of the world’s largest technology companies.
