IBM and Yotta Data Services have announced a partnership to offer an agentic AI platform aimed at Indian businesses and government bodies, with the collaboration made public in May 2026.
The platform will run on Yotta’s Shakti Cloud infrastructure and is designed to help organisations adopt AI in a secure and compliant manner. As part of the tie-up, IBM will also bring its sovereign core capabilities to Yotta’s cloud environment.
The partnership targets a broad range of customers across India, with particular focus on government entities that may require stricter data governance and compliance standards. The inclusion of IBM’s sovereign core suggests the platform is structured to keep data within defined boundaries, which could be relevant for public-sector use cases.
