Indian software firm Mphasis has filed a lawsuit against rival Coforge in a US court, alleging the company hired former Mphasis executives in violation of their contracts and gained unauthorized access to confidential client information.
The suit, filed in 2026, centers on claims that Coforge recruited Mphasis executives who then allegedly provided access to sensitive client data. Mphasis is seeking a court order to prevent Coforge from deploying those former executives on accounts shared between the two companies.
Coforge has denied the allegations and stated it intends to defend itself vigorously against the claims.
The dispute pits two competing Indian IT firms against each other in a US legal arena, with the outcome potentially affecting how both companies operate on overlapping client accounts. If Mphasis succeeds in obtaining the relief it is seeking, this could limit Coforge’s ability to staff certain client engagements with the executives in question.
