According to a joint report by Nasscom and Zinnov, Bengaluru, the capital of Karnataka, led the pack with 28% of India’s deeptech startups as of 2025. Following closely behind were Delhi-NCR with 21% and Mumbai with 10%, showcasing the concentrated distribution of tech innovation across major Indian cities.
The IT/BT minister of Karnataka has highlighted the state’s growing prominence as a preferred hub for tech startups in India. This announcement precedes the publication of the Nasscom-Zinnov report, which underscores the robust development of the startup ecosystem in the country despite a more discerning funding landscape.
With Karnataka solidifying its status as a favorable destination for tech entrepreneurs, the region’s supportive infrastructure and conducive business environment have evidently attracted a significant share of deeptech startups.
